Maternity Services

pregnant3Our midwife runs an Antenatal service for all our patients, offering Antenatal Clinics and Parent-Classes, together with care after your baby is born(Wednesday/Thursdays). She can arrange hospital visits (to GRH) and is available to assist with any queries you may have relating to pregnancy and childbirth. The midwife runs two clinics a week at our main surgery.

You can contact the midwife at the surgery or alternatively ring Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on 08454 222222 and ask for the Community Midwife.

Diabetic Clinic

Led by our Practice Nurse Alison and Dr Richards, this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes.

Asthma Clinic

asthma_inhaler5Asthma sufferers can make appointments for advice and support from our nurse, Tracy who specialises in asthma care.

Child Health & Immunisations

Tuesday 12.30pm - 2.00pm. Health Visitor Clinic.  These appointments need to be booked in advance via reception on 01452 528299. All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks old.

Screening for Older People

An annual check-up is offered to all patients over the age of 75. Minor SurgeryWednesday 9.00-11.00 Minor operations can be done in our treatment room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.

Flu Clinics

vaccination11This year's flu clinic is being held at Gloucester Farmers Club in Sandhurst Lane, Gloucester, on 15th October 2011. This is for all patients fitting the criteria and registered at Heathville Road Practice. For all patients who fit the criteria and registered at Warwick Avenue, this is being held at Harewood Primary School on 26th October.

Patients fitting the criteria receive a letter from the Practice with a time and date. If you did not receive a letter and think you should have please contact the surgery.

Sigmoidoscopies

Dr R Watkins and Dr S Sumathipala perform these tests.  Please see your GP if you have any concerns for a in house referral.

Smoking Cessation

Run by our nurse practitioners, this clinic gives advice and support to patients trying to give up smoking.  

Health Checks

Vascular Screening  checks are currently being offered to all patients between the age of 40 - 74. Letters are being sent out on a scheduled rotation.
