I graduated in 1979 from St Mary's Hospital Medical School of the University of London; subsequently entering General Practice after completing my vocational training in 1984. Postgraduate qualifications DFFP (Diploma of the Faculty of Reproductive Health Care of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists), DRCOG (Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists), MRCGP ( Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) and Membership of the HEA (Higher Education Academy).

I have been the senior partner at Heathville Road surgery since the retirement of Dr. Peter Griffiths in 1999.

In the past I have worked as a Clinical Assistant in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in ENT surgery and also in Elderly Care Medicine, Gastroenterology and General Medicine.

I am a General Practice Trainer and former convenor of Gloucester and Forest of Dean Trainer's Workshop. Both Dr Khalid and I provide training for postgraduate doctors entering General Practice as does our Practice as a whole.
