During these hours there are pre bookable appointments, same day appointments and provision for emergencies. The practice stays open throughout the lunchtime period but the phones are diverted to the emergency line between 12.30 – 13.30. Telephone appointments are available throughout the day.

Extended Opening Hours

Since October 2009 we have been opening on a Thursday evening from 18:30 to : 20.30 at Heathville Road Surgery. These are pre-bookable appointments only.  They are not booked on the actual day but can be pre-booked for the following Thursday up to 6 weeks in advance.  

PLEASE NOTE:
During the extended hours emergencies will not be dealt with at the surgery; so kindly contact the emergency Out of Hours service on 08454 220220.

WE ARE NOT OPEN FOR COLLECTION OF PRESCRIPTIONS ETC.  

TRAINING AFTERNOONS

The surgery will be closed for staff training one Friday in the month (Dates are listed on the noticeboard) between 12.30pm - 4.00pm.

During these hours there are pre bookable appointments, same day appointments and provision for emergencies.   Telephone appointments are available throughout the day.  At busy times,  due to the building constraints you may be offered an appointment to attend Heathville Medical Practice.

When We Are Closed

Out of surgery hours - Between the hours of 6.30pm - 8.00am you need to ring 01452 528299.

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct (0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
